Our review: Bridger is the type of book I really like to read: starts off in a scene which instantly grabbed me, made me emotionally attached to the main character, Ashlyn, or Ash, and kept me engaged until the end. From the heartbreaking opener, we see that Ash is a normal girl with some freaky color changing eyes. So? I already liked her and figured something was going on, especially in regards to her ornery grandmother, Memaw. When Ash goes to Ireland to learn about her heritage, she discovers she, like the grandmother she thought did not love her, aren't exactly human. What are they?
And this is where I stop giving you any more of the storyline. Sorry to be selfish but Bridger has to be read and experienced. Don't take my words here, read it yourself. If you love Irish folklore (and who doesn't?) and find tales of self revelation, love, with some fighting mixed in, then grab a copy and be prepared to not move from your seat until the first book in this series has finished enchanting you. And if you don't believe in things like fairies, just like Ash did, go ahead and read this anyway. I was like you once, a non-believer, until I read two series by Melissa Marr and Holly Black (not to mention Julie Kagawa's awesome series). From then on I became a proud fey fan girl. I dare you to jump into this fast-paced entertaining book, and then we'll talk about the intriguing fey folk.
Did I say I liked Bridger? Yes!

I have been on a bit of a fae kick, which Melissa Marr and Charlaine Harris has kickstarted. I'm quite curious about this book and I've put it at the top of my TBR pile.
