Welcome! We are one of today's stops on the Hearts of Valor tour hosted by Roane Publishing. What I enjoy most about reading an anthology is the assortment and diversity of stories offered by the authors. When I'm done reading there's usually a bunch of new authors I want to read more of. Sure
do. This comes from Captain Quinn Alstrom of the U.S. Coast Guard, the hero of
my story.
“I’d
made a promise. However, I wasn’t sure how to really fulfill it because, the
simple truth of the matter had always been, I loved Veronica Taylor-Weis.”
T.E. Hodden:
I am not sure why I am so
proud of some descriptive text, but I always liked this:
"She was resting her head on against the window, watching the
bitter cold fog rolling past. The spectral silver choked the lights of the
city, making them distant and ethereal, reducing the trucks, the carts, even
the pedestrians to shadows that were only half seen. Fish and whales swimming
past in an ocean abyss. Vague and alien, visible only for a second before they
were consumed by the silver veil."
S.L. Hughson:
“This
woman was the sun. Warmth from her smile invigorated the dusk in his soul. Did
he really want to live with constant winter?”
Jean Young:
“One minute she was the sweetest and softest girl, but the next
minute she turned into a fearsome warrior.”
Philip Lisagor:
Yes, when the young lady says,
“Love me, love me.”
