Mini book reviews: Consume, Heartbeat, When the World Was Flat (and we were in love), Dark Halo
Consume (The Clann #3) by Melissa Darnell My rating: 4 Savannah and Tristan. Friends since childhood, now lovers. I've been a huge fan of this YA couple from the very beginning. Witches. Vampires. Feuding. Love. Twists and turns. Saying goodbye to the Clann wasn't easy. The third and final book in the trilogy is told in both Savannah and Tristan's pov as their relationship deepens. There's action and the pace is fast, keeping readers invested and eyes glued to the words. Both characters have undergone some major changes and I enjoyed watching them work things out. Darnell has created such a unique world which isn't easy in a crowded paranormal market. We see more of the parents in this book (some worth rooting for, some not), but Consume belongs to the two who have created the heart of this series: Savannah and Tristan.
