Prophecy of Days - Book One: The Daykeeper's Grimoire  by Christy Raedeke  BOOK DESCRIPTION: When her safe-cracker mom and code-breaker dad inherit a Scottish castle on the Isle of Huracan, sixteen-year-old Caity Mac Fireland is the only one in the family who's not happy about it. Ripped from her cushy life in San Francisco, taken away from her best friend Justine whom she's known since preschool, and relocated to the dreary island fortress, Caity's secret fantasy of being discovered by a Hollywood agent, talent scout, or even just a pageant coach seems more unlikely than ever. But when Caity stumbles across a hidden room in the castle, its walls covered in strange symbols, her life takes a bizarre turn. Yes, there are some bugs in our new layout and they're not the kind which eats carrots. The land of HTML is a new one for us and we're trying to remove some coding which doesn't belong (we could use HELP if anyone knows how to get rid of the coding). We haven't settled on this background but we do know we love the three column format. We will also update and refreshen our header with some newer titles and widen it to fit the new format. Any suggestions? Questions? Let us know. As for the break, Meg is getting in some Xbox playing and finishing up reading Fang. Caity has read a few books and is revising her reviews. Laurie has a bunch to finish and a writers conference to attend next weekend. We will be around. HAPPY SPRING!

Too bad police detective Russ Evans has to learn this lesson the hard way. At the outset, the whole thing really did seem simple. It was just supposed to be your average stakeout: Russ and his partner would scope out both the coffee shop and Laurel Wilkins. It seems Laurel is the new target of Trevor Dean, a con-artist whose notorious game is meeting women online and bilking them of their money. But when Russ decides to go inside the shop to get a better look, he discovers that Laurel is hearing-impaired--not to mention drop-dead gorgeous, with a body that makes him forget how to order coffee. To further complicate matters, it seems that Laurel has been expecting Russ. She's under the impression that she and Russ have been instant-messaging each other for weeks and are now here for their rendezvous. Russ is thoroughly confused. Is Laure
