Second chances at love, who can refuse that kind of story? Not me. In Her Perfect Game Charlie is a gamer, a total nerd, and didn't graduate college. Attending HackCon, she's excited to meet the nice guy she's been chatting with online. Unfortunately, nice guy turns out to be someone from her past. She'd liked Jonah and they'd dated. and he taught her to hack games and then left. He was certainly the last person she expected to see. Know that saying about things happening for a reason?
Told by two viewpoints in third person, the reader learns about each character's innermost thoughts, fears and insecurities which helps us understand these two. Why did Jonah leave her? Is Charlie the same girl from the girl in the past dealing with her roommate's suicide? These answers are revealed in this novella. I do wish some things had been developed more but I still enjoyed the story.
Her Perfect Game (Hot & Nerdy #2) by Shannyn Schroeder is a fast, cute, and sexy read. Reading about gamers was certainly refreshing and I liked the humor and romance.

Shannyn is a
former English teacher, who now works as a part-time editor while raising her
three kids.
Even though she
wrote from high school through college (mostly poetry), she’d never considered
a career as an author. Writing fell by the wayside as she focused her energy on
creating lesson plans and new and fabulous ways to torment her teen students.
One group in particular dubbed her “The Torture Master,” a title she carried
into motherhood.
After the birth
of baby number two, Shannyn resigned from teaching and fell in love with
reading romance novels. She read so many books so quickly that her husband
teased, “If you’re going to read so many damn books, why don’t you just write
one?”
So she did.
