Today is October 1st and that means it is time for.... Something Wicked Returns Blog hop. What's really cool about this blog hop is it runs for the entire month of October. Last year's hop was a ton of fun and this year the event organizer, Heidi, needed extra help so we thank these four ladies for organizing this blog hop: Heidi@Rainy Day Ramblings, Candace@Candace's Book Blog, Maja@The Nocturnal Library and Ali@My Guilty Obsession.

This is what Reader Girls is spotlighting this month: 
Urban Harvest, Tales of the Paranormal in New York City, is an urban fantasy anthology featuring paranormal stories that take place in New York City or one of its five boroughs. That could mean vampires, ghosts, and more! How cool is that? The great thing about Urban Harvest is editor Donna Ansari is giving the proceeds from this ebook to a very deserving charity, City Harvest, an organization which helps to feed those in need.

Our very own Reader Girl, Laurie, has a New Adult/Young Adult story featured in this collection titled "Wished Away." Laurie was recently interviewed on editor Donna Ansari's website (as were all the authors of Urban Harvest). You can find out more about our top Reader Girl here and read an excerpt from her story!

Each week we will be highlighting someone from the anthology. Next week we will run our interview with editor/author Donna Ansari who also has a story in the book. Donna Ansari has also written a vampire series, Vampire in the City. Read more about her books on her Goodreads page.

    I love reading about alternate realities. The surroundings and the beings in that world are interesting, sometimes scary, sometimes magical. Reading those books will always be an adventure.

    Which paranormal do you like the most? Werewolves, vamps, fae, witches, or maybe someone not so normal

    I love most of them, vampires, witches, faeries, aliens well you get the picture. The only thing I don't like are ghosts. Other than that I love reading about all of them. Thank you for being a part of this fun and awesome blog hop!!

    I love supernatural beings! reading them takes you to a world that doesnt exist in reality.. cant explain the joy it gives when imagining it! Thank you! ^_^

    Paranormal novels are stories that take you far from the norm and let you get immersed in another realm altogether. You know it isn't real, but you enjoy the heck out of it! Thank you for the giveaway!!
