Whoa! My toes are still curled from reading this contemporary romance with the three "S's": steamy, sexy and satisfying. I have to admit this is the first novel by Lori Foster that I've read and so enjoyed. Rowdy, that hot hunk from the front cover of the paperback, is the typical alpha male found rampant in today's romance market. But he is more, much more. He is charming, tough when necessary, dedicated to family and friends, easy on the eyes and totally believable. Avery runs the Rowdy's bar and comes across as the typical female easily found in many romances--nice, hardworking, dedicated and weak. Well, she is many of these things but what she isn't is weak. Avery has a story--a secret she's running away from--and Rowdy wants more than just a work relationship with her. She keeps him at a distance until she can't fight the attraction any longer.

There are good love scenes in romances and then there are the swoon-inducing, totally wrapped up in love scenes. This type is found in Getting Rowdy. After everything that happens, when these two finally become a couple, pow! Like I said--the three "S's". I liked the secondary characters as well. Even though this is the third title in the Love Undercover series, it could be read as a standalone. Now that the other characters have grown on me, I would like to read the other books as well. Fast paced, well-written, incredibly sexy, and featuring immensely likable characters and an intriguing storyline, Getting Rowdy was a special treat.
