The number thirteen can be regarded as something unlucky. In the case of the Story of a Kiss, a new anthology released earlier this month, this collection proves lucky to those who pick up a copy. This anthology offers readers a wide variety of romantic stories penned by thirteen authors. At almost four hundred pages, I believe there's something to satisfy everyone's taste. 

The exciting aspect of reading story collections is finding new creative voices and, in this instance, I discovered a group of authors totally new to me. With this bunch of tales I had favorites (which I won't go into detail about). There's sweet, there's sexy, there's even a paranormal (yay!), this anthology reminded me of a heart-shaped box filled with chocolates--a wide variety to choose and enjoy.

I really enjoyed these stories, thrilled at meeting these characters and finding new authors to follow. I liked some so much I would love to see more of these couples in either a novel or another anthology. With our busy lives I find short stories offer readers who want to read but have to do it on the run the option of reading something short but still satisfying. With this enjoyable assortment of romantic stories, the Story of a Kiss anthology is a wonderful way to either begin or end Valentine's Day.
