Good day everyone! It's snowing here in New York's Hudson Valley and we're keeping warm by staying inside. We have a Release Day Blitz for a new book by Mira Lyn Kelly, a romance I was able to read while sipping hot cocoa and snuggled under my favorite throw. Enjoy and stay warm!
Title: Touch & Go
Series: Dare to Love #2
Author: Mira Lyn Kelly
Publisher: Loveswept
Release Date: February 17, 2015
USA Today bestselling author Mira Lyn Kelly cranks up the heat for two lifelong friends whose most secret longings come true in every delectable way.
Vivacious and successful, Ava Meyers is living her dream life, except for one thing: Ever since childhood, she’s been in love with her best friend . . . and she’s never admitted it. Back then, Sam Farrow was a damaged young man with a tough past. Now he’s supremely confident, super-sexy, and totally untouchable—until the night when Sam pretends to be Ava’s boyfriend to save her from some unwanted attention. In a moment of weakness, Ava finds out that a long friendship is no match for blistering sexual chemistry.
After years of denying his own feelings, Sam finds that one amazing night with Ava isn’t enough to chase away all the pent-up fantasies. So he proposes they spend a few weeks driving each other wild, exhausting their every desire, and then return to their perfect platonic relationship like nothing ever happened. But Sam’s plan has one fatal flaw: the part where they give each other up. Because the more they let go of their inhibitions, the more they’re tempted to never go back.

Can lifelong best friends make it as lovers? For Ava and Sam there's some baggage, childhood experiences, and a whole lot of drama going on before a rightful decision can be made. Ava needs to convince a co-employee she is not available so he won't bug her during a party, but being single she needs a stand-in. When her best friend won't let her fiancee be the 'fake' boyfriend, Ava's other best friend Sam steps in. During the party these two try to convince the guy that Ava's in a serious relationship, except when Sam kisses Ava her body begins to respond. And so does his. A night of flirty fun and a quick jump between the sheets leaves these two with a messed up friendship.
Touch & Go is a very cute, fun, very sexy read. Ava is sympathetic and I really felt I grew to know her. Sam had his moments and I'm glad the author gave us such well-developed characters to get to know and just didn't expect us to 'like' Sam because he's hot. Sam's a man-whore and proud of it, except his crass way of life takes a hit when he learns Ava really does love him. It would have been interesting to see that he sleeps around and doesn't allow himself to feel for anyone simply because that's the kind of man he is, but we discover he was shaped that way by his mother.
The romance and flirting was certainly steamy and well-written. I really liked Ava and grew to accept Sam even though his story line had him being over dramatic at times. Touch & Go is a sexy, humorous romance. I enjoyed it.

Even though the pose is nothing new, it works for this couple's story.
