Carrie Drummond is excited to spend a fun, relaxing weekend at a mountain cabin with her friends--a last hurrah before they all graduate college in a few months. But when the power goes out and the only other person to make it through the snowstorm is the one man in the world she hates, she thinks the weekend is ruined.
But her so-called enemy has other plans.
Bryan Grant always ends up with his foot in his mouth around Carrie, and he's determined not to let their night alone go to waste. But will the uptight, lawyer-in-training be able to convince the paint-stained artist to give him a shot?
Snowed In is a contemporary erotic romance novelette. It is not intended for younger readers due to mature content.
Know that saying about opposites attract? Carrie and Bryan's story, Snowed In, is a prime example. She's a free-spirited artist, easy-going, content in paint-spattered jeans. He's a cocky, arrogant player and soon-to-be hotshot lawyer. When their friends set them up together in a cabin, luck smiles upon them by providing the perfect setting: a snowstorm.
When the power goes out, these two realize the night has just gotten longer. They need to get along. And so they do. During their conversation Bryan reveals just how attracted to Carrie he is, though the way he says it may not be a turn-on to many females (like I said, this dude is cocky). Carrie soon finds herself not minding his ways. Bryan's arrogance took some getting used to but when the 'hidden side' of Bryan was shown, I found myself liking him too. Maybe opposites do attract.
Snowed In is a short, hot story. I was a little confused in the beginning how there could be moonlight with a snowstorm moving in. Carrie was so cute and I liked how she battled with herself, especially after hearing Bryan admit he fantasized about her. On one hand, the guy is overly confidant, but then he has a smoking hot bod. Their hook-up was full of smexy and heat and I wonder if these two are simply a one-night stand or if there's a future between them.
Cover comment:
Typical cover art. Could have used something more to make it unique, like snow. As it is, it is cute and playful.
