Rodeo Sweethearts is a sweet short story of one couple's enduring love and marriage and the outcome of keeping secrets from their family. Melinda has been enduring the aftermath of living with a secret stemming from the night she gave birth to their triplets. The dishonesty has been a constant companion to her over time, affecting her and her life. Rob notices when he takes his wife to a rodeo how she's changed from the girl he first kissed at another rodeo years before. He has endured the cloying silence of keeping quiet until he can no longer contain his worry. In order to catch a glimpse of the innocent girl Melinda used to be, Rob must help her let go of the past.

Rodeo Sweethearts is a touching testament to true love and the need for honesty in keeping a marriage healthy. I'm a fan of the Montana Rodeo series and this insight into the McCreadie parents helps readers gain the proper persepctive for this couple as they read the other books in the series. Lillian Darcy paints a poignant portrait of a loving couple affected by keeping things bottled in and how the future can only be improved upon by righting the sins of the past.
