Blog Tour: Meant for Her by Raine Thomas
Meant for Her by Raine Thomas
New Adult Contemporary Romance
Release: October 17, 2013
Publisher: Iambe Books, LLC
Tour organized by: AToMR Tours
Photographer Sierra Stratton views the world through a lens all her own. She has an uncanny sense about people, something that often causes her trouble. When she meets the sexy and brooding Evan Dorsey, her intuition tells her he’s suffering, and she wants to be the one to help him.
Evan isn’t open to help from anyone, however. His focus is on his Major League career and making himself as marketable as possible for his upcoming free agency. He plans to ride out the season in Atlanta and then sign with another team, away from the painful memories that haunt him.
Someone’s eager to send him on his way, too. Between anonymous threats and equipment sabotage, it’s clear he’s earned himself an enemy along the way. To him, it’s one more sign that he’s right to move on.
But Sierra threatens his conviction. Her contagious smile proves hard to resist, as does her kiss. She tempts him in ways he never anticipated, making him question his plans for the first time. If he’s not careful, she might just convince him that he’s meant for her.

There's a saying about we meet people for a specific reason. That reason may not be immediately understandable, but time will reveal what we need to know. As in life, it can also play out in fiction. Meant For Her by Raine Thomas is a great example. Sierra meets Evan for a reason. As a photographer, she not only captures the essence of a person in a picture, she also gathers a 'sense' about a person from behind the lens. When she snaps Evan's photo, his pain is evident, as is her need to help him. But does this closed-off man determined to chase his baseball playing dream want her assistance?
As a fan of For Everly, I was thrilled to see this couple again in this story. Everly and Cole are here since Evan is Cole's friend. This new story made me more of a fan of Ms. Thomas. She has this uncanny of making me love her characters without realizing it until I've finished the book and find this void inside. Sierra and Evan are another couple to fall for. She is intuitive and patient, even when the stubborn Evan refuses to see things her way, she takes the time to show him and have him learn in his own way. One may object to the way he treats her and their missing chemistry in the beginning, but that is the beauty in this story. The author shows us Evan's journey from being paralyzed from his fear of losing someone else he cares for (after his mom). Sierra teaches him to feel, and ultimately, love again and during this trip the chemistry surfaces. That Australian accent Evan has is sexy all by itself, plus the added mystery of who wants him to leave adds to the tension.
Two individuals destined to meet and connect, their story needs to be read to understand my excitement. Emotional, touching, gritty and real, Meant For Her by Raine Thomas is a home run in the NA contemporary romance market. I couldn't put the story done and missed the characters once I finished. Ms. Thomas has done it again--she has earned my trust and I will gladly pick up anything she writes.
