Demons.

They’re everywhere, hiding in plain sight. Chances are, you’ve interacted with one or two of them in your lifetime without even realizing it...

Demon hunter Evelyn Brighton saves unsuspecting humans from the malevolent creatures masquerading around them every day. Working under the Lebriga Corporation’s direction, she never fails to bring her A-game with her keen skill, fiercely independent spirit, and the best weapon in her arsenal: the Divinity blade.

Evelyn’s world is turned on its ear, however, when she is ordered to train cocky new recruit Daniel Summers. They both feel an instinctive pull drawing them to one another, the ancient spells tattooed into their skin illuminating whenever the two hunters come into contact. But with evil looming over the city of Los Angeles, Evelyn and Daniel’s mutual competitiveness and sense of duty to Lebriga and all humankind forces them to hold back their desires. Will their restraint be enough to keep them focused and save southern California, or will the dark forces prevail?

Set in modern-day Los Angeles, Divinity is an action-filled, fast-paced marriage of urban fantasy and paranormal romance. Edgy, witty, and sexy, it will bind you in its spell.

Divinity Excerpt:
Everything was happening wicked-fast — Evie had no time to reach her backup revolver, and I could feel something approach me from behind. I had to either whirl around, sink the beast behind me, and pray I’d have enough time left to take out the one about to relieve Evie of her head or take care of her situation first.

It wasn’t a hard decision.

I aimed quickly and squeezed off the first round, obliterating the big bastard’s hand into nothing more than a bloody stump before I pulled the trigger a second time and popped one round into its left eyeball.

Then it was like I was in a dream or one of those movies where everything happens in super-slow motion, because as the unholy, lifeless body sank to the ground in front of Evie, I felt talons digging into my shoulder and the upper half of my body being arched back. I could hear the sticky sound of jaws opening and smell brimstone and the rotten stench of demon breath as the creature behind me exhaled with a hiss.

I could also hear something else in the back of my mind, a whirring sound, almost — wait, no — words, a voice. Evie’s voice, rattling through a series of equations and statistics at an ungodly speed and, underneath all of the ramblings, a tiny plea: I need him.

Something whizzed through my hair just before I heard the crack of a gun, and the next thing I knew, the grip the creature’d had on me was gone and I was covered in slimy demon blood. I stood up straight and wiped the viscous liquid and bits of brain matter off my face.

“Oh gross, it got in my mouth. Ugh, it tastes like that God-awful smell. Thanks, by the way,” I spat and gagged as I reached up and pulled shards of demon bone and a tooth or two out of my hair.

“Yeah, well, a demon dies, all I have to do is check a box. You die, and I have to fill out a shit-load of paperwork.”
