Published December 7th 2012 by InkSpell Publishing
All she wants for Christmas is for Hollywood to love her again. But once she meets him, her Christmas list changes.
Jen’s only Christmas wish: Hollywood falling back in love with her. Meeting ex-Marine Gunner was a bonus. She likes that he isn’t impressed by celebrities or the movie biz. She likes that he’s funny and sweet … and drop-dead gorgeous. And she loves that he has no idea who her alter-ego is: Jen Fleming, Hollywood bad-girl and paparazzi target number one. Why ruin an amazing affair when he’s leaving after the new year?
But the closer they get, the harder she falls, and the more she wants to tell Gunner everything. Especially once he shares his secret with her.
Her new Christmas wish: Gunner accepts and loves her for who she really is.

I pulled myself up, leaning heavily on the table as I spoke. “My name’s Jenny. I’m here…” I listed a little, hopping to keep upright.
Gunner stood immediately, gripping my elbow with his hand. “You okay?”
“I fell in the shower this morning. Weak ankles.” I shrugged. “I’m pretty sure I sprained it.”
Scott’s smile grew. “But you came in to volunteer anyway. Wow, Jenny, your devotion to volunteer work is truly inspiring.”
I am the worst person ever. I didn’t need praise. I was a criminal…kind of. “Oh, I don’t know—”
“Why don’t you sit down and rest that ankle, Jenny?” Scott was all enthusiasm and fervor.
Gunner’s hand steadied me as I slid back down into my chair. My ankle bounced on the hard linoleum floor and I bit into my lower lip to keep from groaning. Or cursing. Loudly. Somehow I knew yelling an obscenity would end Scott’s admiration for me and, very possibly, my service at the YRC too. I must have grimaced, because Gunner winced with me.
“And you are?” Scott asked.
Gunner stared around the room, his eyes resting on each person for the briefest second. “My friends call me Gunner.”
“Nice to meet you, Gunner,” Scott responded quickly. “Gunner? Gunner Foster? Oh, of course, you’re here for the new disabled sports program, right? I’m really excited that our club will be participating. Thank you for helping us with this program.”
Gunner nodded, his face softening slightly. “It’s a good thing for the kids, right?”I stared at Gunner, mouth hanging open. He’s here to work with handicapped kids? And I’m here because a judge told me I had to be here. I’m beyond a total loser.
About the author:
Sasha Summers
Sasha is part gypsy. Her passions have always been storytelling, history, romance, and travel. She writes both lyrical romantic fantasy AND steamy contemporary romance. Her first play was written for her Girl Scout troupe. She's been writing ever since. She loves getting lost in the worlds and characters she creates; even if she frequently forgets to run the dishwasher or wash socks when she's doing so. Luckily, her four brilliant children and hero-inspiring hubby are super understanding and supportive.
Thanks so much for hosting me, Jen, and Gunner! I love Hollywood Holiday and hope readers will too! Have a wonderful holiday!
