Can the voice of an angel heal a tortured soul?
Annabelle MacIntosh enters a reality singing contest to save her family from their mounting debt. Miles Oliver, celebrity judge and the owner of the biggest record company in the UK, doesn't think she has what it takes. She sings like an angel, but when she performs all he can focus on is the terror in her eyes. It's a look he knows only too well. After the pressure of fame destroyed his wife, Miles swore he'd never let the same thing happen to anyone else. Driven by the guilt he's carried for years, Miles tries everything in his power to make sure Annabelle doesn't succeed, because he doesn't believe she'll survive it.
Annabelle needs that prize money, and she's determined to win it. As she fights to make it through each round of the contest, an attraction begins to develop between the two adversaries. The longer Annabelle remains in the competition, the deeper her attraction grows to the man who's trying to prevent her from reaching her goal. Can she convince Miles she's strong enough to fight the fame monster and win?
I’d like to welcome Annabelle MacIntosh to my blog today. Annabelle has just been told she’s going through to the live shows on the reality singing contest, Do You Have What It Takes!
Annabelle, how did you feel when Safri Cantrell told you she wanted you in her final five?
*Annabelle blushes.*
I couldn’t believe I’d gotten through. I was in a daze, thank god! If I could have processed anything I probably would have burst into tears!
Happy tears, I hope.
Euphoric tears.
Can you tell us a little bit about your daily routine now you’ve moved into the house, or is that confidential?
Um…I don’t think it is. I get up with the birds, my singing coach pops around early and I practice most of the afternoon. If the weather is nice, I like to sing in the garden. But you know what English summers are like!
*Interviewer chuckles*
I sure do! So can you tell us about your song this week?
Sorry, I can’t. We aren’t allowed to discuss it with anyone other than our mentors.
I thought as much. Okay, so how about you tell us what’s going on with you and one of the judges, Miles Oliver? We all seen the Glasgow audition and he was adamant you shouldn’t go through. What changed between then and the Eliminations?
*Annabelle’s face flares scarlet and her gaze falls to the floor.*
I’m not sure. He didn’t think I’d be able to handle the live shows I guess, but I don’t know why he changed his mind.
Is there anyone in the show you have the hots for? Miles is pretty gorgeous.
What? I…no. I can’t say I noticed.
*Interviewer doesn’t buy it for a second.*
Or is the other judge, Sander Chase more your type? Blond hair, blue eyes, mouth-watering muscles…
Ewww, no. No offense to Sander. I’m here to sing, not to ogle guys. I have to concentrate on winning.
And finally, Annabelle, why is winning so important to you?
Um…Because. Well, it has been my dream since I was a little girl.
*Interviewer doesn’t think Miss MacIntosh has been completely honest.*
Good luck in the competition and thank you for coming on my blog today!
Thank you for having me!
