Blurb: It had to be nuns.

Some vampires had a thing for B+. Some preferred redheads. Others preferred blondes.

For Jasper, it had to be nuns--and he's been regretting that since the day he bit Amabel de Woodville, almost two centuries ago.

She'd done something to him. Something that restored his conscience, pointed his moral compass straight north, and ended his career of seducing virgin nuns and killing as he pleased. But even worse--she'd gotten under his skin, and he hasn't forgotten the green-eyed witch who'd been immune to his charms.

When Amabel ends up in his office, still as young as the day they'd met and seeking a charity sponsor, Jasper has the chance he's ached for: to show her the pleasure that's haunted her dreams for decades. He's taken the virginity of a hundred nuns...but a vampire nun? That's new.

And Jasper has always enjoyed a challenge.

About the author: Faye Robertson (who also writes as Serenity Woods) lives in the sub-tropical Northland of New Zealand with her wonderful husband and gorgeous teenage son. She writes fun, flirty, and sexy contemporary romances for the modern woman who likes intelligent, spirited heroines, and hunky but approachable heroes. Review: I really liked Holly's First Noel, another novella by this author, and began this story with a hunch that I would like this one just as well. Did I ever! From from the start, Robertson gets the reader involved with her two main characters, the sexy vampire, Jasper and the strong-willed nun, Amabel. There were parts where I smiled, sighed or laughed at out loud but I had to read Bloodlust in one sitting.

This story of an evil vampire's sudden change in moral disposition because of biting the wrong nun introduced a new concept to this reader--that of a bloodsucker having a thing for ladies of the cloth. When one thinks about it, this concept does make a lot of sense. Something evil would be attracted to something quite it's opposite, something pure and good. This is Jasper's case but it becomes an enigma when he begins to change from skirt-chaser to do-gooder. Amabel has hated the gorgeous vampire ever since the day he attacked her and changed her mortal life to that of immortal. Not being able to walk in the sun, needing to drink blood, and having to move every decade or so not to arouse suspicion, the day she encounters Jasper again while searching for sponsors for her charity arouses her dislike of her maker and something else.... Could it be attraction?

What a dilemma Amabel faces as does Jasper. After all these years since he infected her, seeing her brings all of those feelings back to the surface. What can he do when she doesn't want to be around him? Or does she? These questions and more will be answered by reading Bloodlust, a very sexy, fun, and delightful novella with a decidedly different spin on vampires.
