Book Blurb: Wing Slayer Hunter, Ram Virtos, must find his soul mirror witch and convince her to mate with him before his Thunderbird tattoo kills him. But while that witch might be able to save Ram’s life, it is the mysterious Ginny Stone who inflames his passion.
Ginny has been deeply fascinated by Ram for months, but dared not act on it or she’d be torn from her mortal life on earth and thrust into her dreaded destiny as a half-breed angel. But when her beloved brother’s soul is at stake, she must do the one thing she both fears and desires…
Take Ram to her bed.
READER GIRLS REVIEW:
My thoughts: Despite this e-novella being my first foray into the Jennifer Lyon's Wing Slayer world, it will not be my last. The author has created a tightly woven tale set in a wonderful paranormal world of wing slayers, hunters, angels, and witches. Ram is a Wing Slayer Hunter who has met his life mate, his "soul mirror." She doesn't want him and that's fine with Ram, especially when he's so deeply in love with bartender Ginny, a mortal woman. But what exactly is she?
Told from both the male and female perspective, the reader is well aware of how each person is feeling and understands their actions. The scenes between Ram and Ginny were heartfelt and incredibly tense, the attraction between these two is palpable and incredibly believable. Ginny is sympathetic as the daughter of a human mother who fell for an angel. Dad isn't the paternal type and his power over Ginny is unsettling and scornful. When he threatens the soul of her beloved brother, Ginny has no choice but to do her father's bidding.

I wondered how the author would tackle this and I was quite impressed. No spoilers here--read the story for yourself--but I will gladly admit I thoroughly enjoyed this paranormal novella. The quick pacing kept me fully absorbed in this rich fantastical world, the descriptions put me in each scene and the story played like a movie in my mind. Lock the door, turn off the cell phone, sit back and let the characters of Forbidden Magic enchant you.
Fans of sexy paranormal tales will want to pick Forbidden Magic and the entire series up like right now. (And fans already acquainted with the Wing Slayer world have another addition to enjoy).
Other books in the series: Blood Magic, Soul Magic, Night Magic, Sinful Magic.
Rating: Liked it.
