Mishap and Chaos Book Tour

Presented by Bewitching Book Tours

Hello
everyone! I’m M.M. Shelley and I would like to give a BIG thanks to Reader Girls, for inviting me onto their blog today so that I can share my latest book with you!

Mishap & Chaos

It’s about twin Latina girls, Grasiella & Tatiana who are hated and feared by the magical race to which they belong.

Here is an excerpt from my book:

“What happened here?” Pele asked him concerned. The heat of the gun was strong from recent use. She took notice of the shattered window.

Kye turned away from her as he lowered the gun to his side. “Nothing,” he said.

“No, something happened in this room. What was it?” A worried look was etched into the features of her face. “Kye?”

“I went to see the island witch and do you know what she told me? Who she thinks I am?”

Pele placed a hand on his shoulder and turned him to face her. “I have heard her words once before. I know what she told Nohea. She despises us for who we are. Give her words no credence.” She softly placed her hands on either side of his face almost like he was a small child who needed consoling.

Kye took two swift steps away from her as he pinned her with an unforgiving look.

She watched his retreat with guarded eyes. “She is just some old woman who does not like our kind. She fears us because of what we can do. She has been using Nohea against us for years.”

“What do you mean? How has she been using Nohea against us?”

“That witch has no true power of her own. She fears us.”

“You said that already, what did you mean when you said that she had been using Nohea against us?”

Pele closed the distance between herself and Kye. “You know how he feels about you?”

Kye nodded his head, yeah he knew.

“She filled his head with lies about you. There is no truth in the witch’s claims.” She spoke softly to reassure him of her words. “Every night she goes out to the sea with her chants and her spells playing with things that she should not,” she said. Her eyes moved past Kye to the shattered window and back to him. “Do not worry about her, she is only human, her time draws near to an end.”

“What does that mean? Are you going to do something to her?”

Within seconds Pele stood before the shattered window and she was just as quick with her answer. “No, I will let the natural order of things prevail.” Her coy smile hinted otherwise.

“You don’t believe what she says about me? Why not? After everything…”

The amber color of Pele’s eyes was intense as she said, “You descend from a powerful line, one that does not corrupt.” The amber in her eyes began to shine as if there were lava swirling in them. “Why should I fear you? You are one of mine; you have done nothing that I have not done before.”
