Guest post topic: How do you keep it 'fresh' in erotica? 

Keeping it fresh in erotica is pretty easy. Everything in the story is changing, from the scenery to the circumstances of how the hero and heroine get together. It would get repetitive if they were constantly retiring to the bedroom for some missionary sex and falling asleep after sex.

But Ashlee isn’t the type of heroine to give in so easily to her hormones. Around Luke, she is slowly losing control of her life and a demon is chasing her in her dreams. She keeps trying to push Luke away to save him but Luke isn’t the type to back down from a fight.

From a tryst in the back alley way where Luke shows Ashlee just how good they can be together to a morning after the party encounter when their touching goes a little too far, this couple can’t keep their hands off each other.

So keeping it fresh was never difficult. I just let the characters have fun. Their honeymoon period is just kicking off in this book. The hard part was getting them to settle down and keep their eyes on the target. Some other power is after Ashlee and it will stop at nothing to get to her. It haunts her dreams, stealing Luke’s face to torment her with what she can’t have. Until Ashlee fights back.

    Hi to Marybelle...first to the party again!

    I think it is harder to keep it fresh with Erotica than in other romance genres. If the H/H are falling into bed for the sake of having sex only, then I believe the story suffers. It's the story with good sex that I'm reading.
