Feels Like the First Time blog tour: guest post, excerpt & giveaway

Excerpt:  Dawn got out of the Vega and walked toward her house. I threw open my door and met her at the front of the car. I reached out and touched her wrist gently, to stop her there. I had waited forever for this moment, but now I couldn’t wait an extra fifteen seconds to walk her to her front door. She turned to me and we faced each other, standing in the exact spot where we had passed so many after-school hours together.  This time, though, the atmosphere was electric. I drew a long breath in the frosty air. I let go of her hand, reached up and touched her cheek softly. Her wide, brown eyes were warmed with flecks of gold. She stared at me, expectant and serious. I brushed the hair away from the side of her face and smiled at her, but I couldn’t speak.  I moved my hands to her shoulders and pulled her the last little distance toward me and kissed her, softly and slowly. There were explosions in my head, and my heart raced. I felt for a fleeting ...

Forsaken Norse Wind blog tour: promo & excerpt

Excerpt:   "How can you be a troll? They don't really exist." Breanna shook her head. "You're too handsome. At least now you're handsome. You're like a warrior and very clever. That's not a troll." "So you've heard stories of trolls, and you believe these stories are true? Yet you think trolls are fiction?" He chuckled. "That's not consistent logic." "Yes." She nodded. "I mean, no." She shook her head, confused. "I don't know. Sometimes, it's hard to know what's real." "Well, there are trolls. I'm testament to that. I am a master craftsman, an artisan among the troll peoples. Axel Venrick at your service." He bowed, then took her hand. She did not resist. He kissed the back of it, and heat rushed to her face. From where his lips touched her hand, a powerful sensation traveled through her, much like the ring's effect. "Good d...

Dark Seraphine, Day 2: Excerpt, When Caleb meets Gia

Image
Excerpt: Caleb Meets Gia Kyle’s desertion left me with no choice but to head into my Trig class too early. Nobody blazed a trail to be the first one sitting around and waiting on the teacher. Because of Kyle’s hormones, I faced looking super un-cool and nerdy. When you put those words together, you never came away looking sexy. Stepping into the room, I immediately noticed that I was right. I headed straight for the back row, turned around, and almost wet my pants. The new girl was sitting in a desk at the front of the room. She wore that same faraway look they always have, these Walkers do. I gave them that nickname because sometimes a ghostly film trailed behind them. It always reminded me of angel wings. Otherwise, I guess they might be considered plain old ghosts. To label them as spirits kind of took away from their magic. The mystery people were always super gorgeous, like this chick: slick, dark hair that stopped just below her shoulders, a long oval-shaped face, an...

There aren’t any ice rinks near my city, and I’ve only stepped on the ice once in my life! I grew up watching every skating event on TV, but it wasn’t until I attended my first competition that my fandom turned into an addiction. My addiction started innocently enough. A friend from college, who is also a die-hard fan of the sport, happened to be in Cleveland during the 2000 U.S. National Championships, and she called me from Gund Arena, so excited about everything she saw. She said we absolutely had...
